Introduction of eccentric rubber reducing coupling 

Eccentric rubber reducing coupling can solve the problem of different diameter when connecting to metal pipe, has the effect of the damping noise reduction at the same time, and can save piping parts, saving cost. It consists of inner rubber, fabric reinforced layer, middle layer, outer layer, end reinforced metal ring or steel wire ring, metal flange or parallel of union.

Classification of eccentric  rubber reducing coupling   

Generic class: suitable for conveying water that the temperature is -15~80 °C and the acid solution or alkali solution that concentration is below 10%.

 

Special classes: suitable for special performance requirements, such as resistance to oil, plug, ozone, abrasion and resistance to chemical corrosion.

 

Heat-resistant class: suitable for conveying water that temperature is higher than 80°C.

 

 

Main performance and functions of eccentric  rubber reducing coupling   

1. Pipe – the pump installation: the eccentric reducing expansion joint is used to prevent cavitation, when installed at the entrance of the pump, it generally should be installed roof flat, thus prevent the pipe gas accumulating in the pump inlet, form big bubbles into pump cavity, and damage the pump. Only one case can be smooth installation. That is behind the head size directly after bending elbow upward. In this case the gas phase may not accumulate.

2. Pump, pipeline concentric reducer installation: there are differences between the pump export DN and outside pipeline system. Using the concentric reducing expansion joint, which can realize the two pipes of different size linear connection, the realization of variable diameter pipe fittings.

Eccentric reducing rubber expansion joint axial displacement is: rubber joint’s elongation or compression is in line with the fluid flow direction (that is, the central axis direction).

Eccentric reducing rubber expansion joint lateral displacement is: rubber joint’s axis displacement is in a direction perpendicular to the flow direction.

Eccentric reducing rubber expansion joint angular displacement is: rubber joint of two end face of the Angle sum of the vertical centerline and the original axis.

Notes:

  1. All Series 1200 parts listed are designed for 30" Hg (full vacuum) and have a maximum test at 26" Hg due to facility altitude and equipment limitations.
  2. Maximum operating temperature of 250 deg F for EPDM, Butyl, Hypalon, and Viton; 225 deg F for Neoprene; 210 deg F for Nitrile; 180 deg F for Pure Gum Rubber; 300 deg F for EPDM and Butyl in air service at 25 PSI maximum; higher pressure and temperature ratings available.
  3. All sizes can be supplied with a filled arch reducing their movements by 50% and increasing the spring rates fourfold.
  4. For full product specifications and installation instructions, see SPEC 1101CR-1 and ININ 1101CR-1. Gross weights include retaining rings.
  5. WARNING: Control units (sold separately) must be used when piping is not properly anchored. Number of rods are dependent upon maximum field test pressures. Expansion joints may operate in pipelines carrying fluids at elevated temperatures and pressures, so precaution should be taken to ensure proper installation and regular inspection. Care is required to protect personnel in the event of leakage or splash. Adequate floor drains are always recommended.
  6. Movements are non-concurrent. Contact General Rubber for concurrent movements, and for sizes not shown up to 144" I.D.
  7. Standard 125/150 lb. drilling includes, 1"-24" with ANSI B16.1 Class 125 lb./B16.5 Class 150 lb., 30"-60" with ANSI B16.1 Class 125 lb./ B16.47 series A, Class 150 lb., 72"- 108" with ANSI B16.1 Class 125 lb./ AWWA C207 Class B.

1. Raw material: we never use reclaimed raw rubber, rubber is imported from USA. Before used, raw material should be tested, including physical test and some chemical experiment to test the hardness and so on;

 

2. Rubber pretreating and ingredients;

 

3. Milling: first, rubber plastication, second, rubber mixing, we will add rubber compounds, like sulfurzing reagent, surfactant, softener, stabilizer, foaming agent and some special compounds, at the same time, rubber will be extruded into plates, cut, produce 45 degree angle. The plates cannot directly be used , they should be cooled about 24 hours;

5. Vulcanizing: the largest vulcanizing tank in Asia ø5000*15000, right time, temperature, pressure is very important;

6.Test and experiment: these tests should be done, hydraulic test, resistance to vacuum, displacement of the performance, rubber physical properties, thickness and the strength and other quality test;
